Function depends on the type of tripod legs. Seems to work best to support the smaller end of the leg that fits snugly in the center of the pillow. Just as useful as more expensive vibration cancellation products. Particularly recommended for drives of motor or computer telescopes, as well as wind, focus vibrations, etc.
