definitely a heavy duty belt. holds my holster without problems. I normally wear a 32" waist but I also carry inside the waist band which adds another 2-3". I purchased the size that was recommended for up to a 34" waist. I can use the belt just fine, and it works great, however I only get about 1" of the Velcro to hook. That's more than adequate to secure the belt, but I would have liked more. I tried the larger one on at a store later and it would have worked also, giving me more Velcro to secure. (note the hooking of the Velcro only stops the excess flap of belt from flapping about. it does not serve to secure the belt; that is done by the buckle.)
