Belt is exactly what I ordered

I really like this belt. I knew beforehand that the Velcro strap would be a bit cumbersome, and it is, but I am relieved to find out that the belt cinches up EXACTLY where you want it with relative ease. The cinching hold is done entirely with the heavy-duty buckle. The Velcro is only used to secure the extra flap. However, everyone needs to be cautioned: I doubt if anyone has belt loops on any pair of pants that will allow the excess flap to go inside the belt loop (on your right side), so you

Pros
  • Ideal for rugged outdoor activities or work in extreme environments
Cons
  • The belt does not stretch or give with movement

I wear 34 inch 5.11 Taclite pants and shorts and prefer the large belt. Even though the large recommends for 36 I like the way the Velcro catches and goes to side belt loop so I don't catch the end on my hand or arm. The only negative is sliding through the belt loops without Velcro catching. I started using the thin long card tag which came with the belt. I slide through the loop over the belt against my pants. The card stays between the belt and end passing through so the Velcro does not…

Cons

another five star item by 5.11

definitely a heavy duty belt. holds my holster without problems. I normally wear a 32" waist but I also carry inside the waist band which adds another 2-3". I purchased the size that was recommended for up to a 34" waist. I can use the belt just fine, and it works great, however I only get about 1" of the Velcro to hook. That's more than adequate to secure the belt, but I would have liked more. I tried the larger one on at a store later and it would have worked also, giving me…

great product, However , Expect to replace this quite frequently

this belt has a velcro section that secures the end. Velcro is comprised of two separate pieces kind of Hook and Loop. therein lies the problem. if your waistline is constant. You will find yourself mating the two sections of velcro in the exact same spot. After awhile of frequent use. The Velcro loses its ability to adhere or lock itself to its opposite half. Now you have to replace the belt. Unless you can sew, then all you have to do is replace the velcro section of the belt. The belt itself…

Pros
  • Offers a perfect fit and maximum comfort for extended use
Cons
  • The belt is not machine washable or dryable

Duty Gear, Better than Leather.

Been using Basket weave Law Enforcement belts since mid '80's. Recently a friend working at a local Sporting Goods shop brought me a 511 1 1/2 black belt to try. I liked it, anything I had attached to belt stayed in place, belt did not bend or sag, like a leather belt will do over time. Talked to others who wear similar equipment to mine who've used 511 for years, they swear by 511. I wanted one a little wider for Range use and OD GREEN for uniform requirements. Local shop had no arrival date…

Pros

Cons
  • The buckle may become scratched or damaged when traveling

Amazing Heavy Duty Belt.I HiGHLY Recommend

I did know about the 5.11 Belts when I purchased my first belts (4 of them!) for Concealed and Open Carry. I ended up spending many hours reading forums and "buying" sites (Midway/Ebay/Galls etc) before I ran across the 5.11 name and this Belt.Firstly, I wanted a Belt that could hold my gun holster and ammo pack (holster), with very little movement. The 5.11 Tactical Belt can be tightened and IT WILL NOT MOVE. Seriously, the Metal Belt Buckle is Heavy Duty and will not allow movement.Secondly…

Pros
  • Great belt have only had it a short time but very happy with it so far
Cons
  • The belt does not fit true to size

Great EDC belt for the price.that lasts!

This is an honest review of this item, which I purchased full price on Ebay.com:I bought this belt as a replacement for my 1 1/2" 5.11 Trainers belt I had been wearing everyday for 9 years.I loved my 1 1/2" Trainers belt, but I wanted less wiggle room in my belt loops and it was starting to wear out. This belt fits the bill, not much wiggle room, yet it still fits all of my pants loops with no problems (No difficulty feeding)The belt is ridged enough for concealed carry, yet still…

Pros
  • womens
Cons
  • No optional buckle designs available for personalization

I had the larger size for the past couple of years then lost weight so I needed a smaller size. Will probably still keep and use the larger belt if I decide to carry IWB. I love this belt. The velcro is strong and holds the belt well. It takes a little practice to get the belt in the front right belt loop but it can be done. Remember that this belt is 1.75" wide. it may not work with dress pants or belt loops that are right at 1.75" wide (in this case, you may need to just cover the…

Pros
  • Rugged and tough, making it the perfect accessory for tactical enthusiasts
Cons
  • The belt can be difficult to remove after tightening

sturdy burly belt for my opinion

Size - Large. Length on the made in China tag says 36 - 38 inches. Length is good on the short side but, can be up to 41 inches on the long side and still use the appropriate length of velcro. The width is right on 1 3/4 inches. Color is a nice dark black. Web weave is nice and tight with the web double thick for most of the length of the belt. Stitching looks to be of high quality with it being very heavy in the area around the buckle. Velcro is very good not the poor loose loop and hook you…

Pros
  • Constructed from top-quality materials to ensure superior quality and performance
Cons
  • The buckle tends to dig into the skin and cause irritation

Fantastic, high quality belt! The belt itself is quite rigid but still very comfortable; perfect to hold the pants up and easily support an inside or outside the waistband holster. What I wanted to comment on primarily is the sizing: I typically wear a 36 waist / 34 length in most pants / slacks / jeans. If I measure my actual waist where my belt sits, it's around 38-39 inches (google "vanity sizing" and you'll see why we all wear a pants size a few inches smaller than our true waist…

Pros
  • Fade-resistant, this belt will hold its color for the life of the product
Cons
  • The belt may not fit well with certain types of clothing

Mostly a quality belt

I wanted something simple, tactical-looking, and durable. I'm a fan of many other 5.11 products and decided to try this belt, stepping up from a free version with plastic buckle that came with some 5.11 pants I bought a year earlier. I've worn this belt a lot, sometimes daily, and over a year later, it's in very good condition. The leading edge of the belt webbing, the angled part, is becoming very slightly frayed. I've had one issue with this belt, several months ago, which was that the…

Pros
  • Provides a reliable and secure fit, keeping your gear in place at all times
Cons
  • The buckle design is too bulky and may look awkward under certain clothing

Great belt best in my review

Great belt I bought the XL I typically wear a 36 waist in pants but if they sold a 35 I would probably buy those. The belt works great but the size range in the chart is the actual size range. Due to the increase in thickness it becomes very difficult to go smaller in size than the stated limit. This is fine as I bought the belt for iwb carry but depending on the sittuation like owb carry or shoulder holster I switch to the large size trainer belt so my pants don't slip.

Pros
  • Comes in multiple colors to match your personal style
Cons
  • The buckle design is too flashy and may not suit professional settings

Well made, check size

This seems to be really good quality. It fits me but is on the small side - there is a velcro tab on the loose end of the belt and it only just reaches to where it can be secured to the velcro patch on the outside of the belt. I bought a L 36-38 for my actual waist of 35, and it seems what I really need is a XL. Who knows how the size thing works? Anyway, I am keeping this one but ordering an XL as that will make it easier to secure the loose end of the belt. Nice quality belt and holds my…

Excellent Belt, I use every day for Hiking, Stiff and Tough

Great Belt, I use the 5.11 Tactical Operator 1 3/4 each day when I hike. I carry a G19 with full Mag Ammo Clip, and this size 5.11 Belt works perfect. I get zero movement climbing on a large hill/mountain each day. The 5.11 1 3/4 was my everyday CARRY belt until I replaced it with the 5.11 1 1/2 inch belt, which is basically the same belt just a bit thinner. The 5.11 is so stiff it holds up even after a solid year of use.The only issue I had with the belt was a little fraying at the end, but I…

Well Worth The Money!

I use this belt for conceal or open carry. I like how right this belt is and how it doesn’t sag whenever I’m carrying. The Velcro also helps keep the belt in place and keeps any extra material from hanging down. It’s really worth the money! I thought this would be too big to wear with the everyday outfit (jeans & cargos) but honestly it does a better job at keeping everything in place than any of the other "tactical” belts I’ve purchased in the past. I’d give this a 10/10 all day long.

Pros
  • Stainless steel buckle construction ensures long-lasting performance
Cons
  • The material is too thick and causes bulging under clothing

Wow. And Wow. best in my review

Well I'm not a HUGE fan of 5.11; but, I must say this is one of there better quality products. The belt is definitely tough. I accidentally hit myself in the knee with the buckle and thought I got hit with a sledge hammer. The nylon is very thick and tough. Which is good but is also it's down side. I have a hard time fitting a lot of things on this belt. Some things wont clip on or take a lot of work to get them on properly. The blackhawk serpa holster with paddle fits great on here. It takes a

Pros
  • Can withstand rigorous use even when subjected to heavy wear and tear
Cons
  • The material frays easily and looks worn quickly

Great belt if you get what you ordered

So I own this belt already but I bought the wrong size so I decided to purchase the belt in a smaller size. I was excited to receive my new belt however apparently I was chosen to receive a "new” belt that look like it had seen the seventh ring of hell. The belt was not the 1 3/4 belt, the buckle looked like it had been used as brass knuckles in a biker fight, the end of the belt had been cut and melted to avoid those awful strays! And as you’ll see the belt came conveniently pre-broken in as…

Pros
  • Provides a stylish and professional look that works well with any tactical outfit
Cons
  • The belt is too wide and may not fit through certain belt loops

Look no further.: my feedback

It adjusts easily, can be removed without issue. The webbing isn't too thin or stiff, & with a robust 'D' buckle can be used as a means of carrying weight in an emergency situation. I have added gear to it at work & found it can handle it without fuss. The 1 3/4 inch size is perfect for most duty pants with 2 inch loops, though too large for most jeans. I'm pretty sure this will outlast any leather belt out there, without distorting or creasing.

Pros
  • Simple and hassle-free adjustment means you can quickly change the size to suit your needs
Cons
  • The nylon material is prone to pilling with wear

Best Belt I have ever owned!

it may sound rather silly to make a big deal over a belt, but this is without a doubt the best belt I have ever owned. I liked it so much I bought three (one in each color). Also bought some for my fellow uniformed buddies as much appreciated Christmas gifts. If you wear a duty belt or carry concealed BUY THIS BELT! You can tighten it up as much as you want as you want and it supports a ton of weight (3 tons to be exact). For years I was always adjusting my britches throughtout a shift as my…

Pros
  • Rip-resistant construction is guaranteed to handle the toughest jobs
Cons
  • The buckle gets in the way when sitting down

Order a size up. Other than that great sturdy trouser belt

Great belt, but order a size up. I am a 32” waist even in 5.11 tactical pants. According to the size chart, I should wear a medium belt which is 32 to 34” waist, yet it was too small. I ordered a large which claim to be for waist size 36 to 38” and though it has some room to go up or down, in size, it fit great, while the medium was too small for me to even Velcro closed.

Pros
  • Practical and versatile design allows you to use the 5.11 Tactical Operator Belt with a wide range of gear
Cons
  • The belt may become discolored with regular use
