I accidentally crushed the original remote that came with my new one.
I accidentally crushed the original remote that came with my new Roku TV when I was installing it (an old giant Monster TV fell on it). This new one was identical to the original and worked without any programming. Incidentally, the original withstood about 150 pounds of the TV being dropped, and the only button that suffered damage was the volume down button (the volume up and mute buttons still worked, as did all the buttons on the front panel). The color convinced me.
