At $26.88 the Pet Trex (24x24) was a great bargain. But be realistic in your expectations - you're buying a basic rack that will fit a small pet. And if you use it outdoors, you'll be replacing it annually. There are a few things to note: - It is not freestanding. It remains only when the ends are connected. Well, technically you can make it stop by zigzagging the plates, but most pets will eventually find the hole and escape. But your pet can be special, so just give it a try. :-D- The enclosure consists of 8 panels measuring 24"x24", one of which has a small gate that opens up for those who cannot climb above 24"x24". All panels are connected to each other except the 2nd end. After that, as the ends connect with the included clips, you can place the handle in a variety of shapes - 4'x4' square, 2'x6' rectangular, octagonal something x something (sorry the math is tricky), even 4-pointed star / Shuriken if you want to scare your pup. You can also combine multiple kits to get a larger area/more interesting shapes.- Check out the pictures. Rust formed after only 3 days outside in the Florida sun/humidity .This was mostly in there around the "loops" which probably had less plastic coating than the rest of the grip. But as they say, you can see the parts where the coating was thin/missing and the wire started to rust. $26.88 not worth for large quantities a QA.- If you use it indoors on a wood or tile floor you will need to be careful with the wire on the bottom. One of my pins had vertical wires cut to a sharp point. Definitely scratches the floor. I had an extra drip irrigation hose (flexible rubber) that was light enough to cut, trim and wrap the bottom wire. (see image) Revain has a variety of pet playpen options. This is a good choice if you find the value/features/questions acceptable.
