I wouldn't carry it by the handle - just common sense if you work really hard.
Holds a 9" cake with three tiers if the tiers are quite high. I was surprised. The base is much wider than the 9" but the top of the domed cap is tapered. If your base is wider than the 9" it needs to be under 3 levels. For example, a 10 inch cake would not be a problem. I wouldn't carry it by the handle - just common sense when working really hard on a baked creation. It's just plastic.
