Not eco friendly and good luck with customer service
Silicone can take 50 to 500 years to biodegrade. So it really doesn't get any better than throwing a plastic straw into the environment! Instead, it will be made of silicone. I first bought them because they said they were eco-friendly. You are not. Then when I called to cancel my order everything I received was diverted to an answering machine. So who knows how long my cancellation will take because they don't bother to take the call. I'm not a happy tourist. I don't usually complain. But the whole reason I bought them was because I thought I was doing something GOOD for the environment.
