It was relatively easy to install. I have a graceful 40 lb German Shorthaired Pointer and a 75 lb Lab that use the door with ease. We've had it for about 3 months and have had to put the two pieces together once since the initial install. I'm not sure what the two pieces that detach from the top of the door do, but one came off. One of the "loops" also came loose, but we added a zip tie for reinforcement and that seems useful. Now that it's winter and cold, we haven't used it much in the last month. But there is hope that this will remain the case.
