Very pleased with this lens. The model is really good. In total, I had three such glasses and I didn’t notice any quality festivities - all three are equally well assembled and take pictures as they should. The price for it before the crisis was completely ridiculous - for a new one, about 6 thousand, for a used one, quite a penny (the first one was taken for 4, the second for 2, the third just a few days ago for 3). Now you can still find it at pre-crisis prices on the used market. There is no point in comparing canon type 75-300 glasses with glasses - a completely different level. First, stub. If with a stub I can shoot even after sunset, then without a stub it is difficult to get a good shot at 250mm even on a cloudy day. Secondly, the sharpness of this glass is clearly higher. There is only one minus compared to them - 55-250is cannot be worn on ff. 70-300is seems to have a stub, but still it doesn’t shine with sharpness, and the price for it is two to three times higher than for 55-250is. I'll say more. Having 70-200 4l without a stub, I still often put 55-250is on my crop carcasses, thanks to his stub. He, of course, is not as sharp with an open one as an elka, but there is no such soap as on other Canon cheap telezooms. I can also compare with Nikon's 70-300vr. And for me, the Canon 55-250is loses quite a bit in terms of the quality of the stub and sharpness to Nikon glass. Moreover, nikkor costs 20 thousand. You can also recall a quite good tamron 70-300vs, but its price again exceeds 20 thousand. In general, I highly recommend the 55-250is to all owners of Canon crop carcasses. A noticeable increase in quality and ease of use will be only after the purchase of 70-200 4lis, which costs 5-6 times more. So this is the best buy for the price. Small, handy, fast, stable and sharp telephoto for little money! Thank you for your attention, all the best pictures.
