About the FR range - it's clear. Stabilizer - when it spins, hands stop shaking, stabilizes by 5+. Sharpness - at 250mm, almost like a razor, if you shoot a smooth border of black and white stripes, then the transition fits into 1-2 pixels, which is amazing. I recommend checking the lens on the price tags in the other side of the store before buying in a store, the quality will be seen.

    Pros
    • Range of focal lengths, stabilizer, sharpness.
    Cons
    • Small backlashes that do not affect the operation of the lens.

The product is completely satisfied, performs its functions.

bought not so long ago. and immediately began to take pictures of moving objects, it catches more or less, but on a long one, the sharpness is not always good (soaps), the weight is normal, comfortable, despite the fact that the trunk climbs out, I didn’t notice problems with filters. according to the stub, it’s somehow not clear, it seems to work and at the same time it doesn’t save from crooked shaking hands)))

    Pros
    • The price, and purely for me, convenient focal lengths covering my requests.
    Cons
    • not badly drains the battery, sometimes he thinks for a long time, there are misses in AF. non glass lenses

The quality is at zero, very sorry for the money spent.

Real score - 5. An excellent model for a novice amateur, or an advanced amateur who does not currently have enough capital to buy a more serious lens. In the first case, the owner will be able to understand what a tele-zoom is, and whether he needs it at all, in the second case, he will allow him to pass the time while funds are accumulating, or a toad is choking :) The closest competitor 70-300 is, in my opinion, does not justify its means, it is better to save up some money for a l-ku than

    Pros
    • Excellent value for money. Covers focal lengths 55-250, very convenient for owners of 18-55 kits.
    Cons
    • For this money - they are not.

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I took a 17-85 kit to replace it, which I did not have enough focus length. It's a bit unusual that the focus ring is on the front end of the lens. But this does not really interfere, because manual focusing has to be used infrequently. Autofocus misses quite often, but works very quickly. It seemed to me that he misses precisely because of the response speed. The picture is more colorful than on the whale, but without processing the result will be boring. Slightly soapy, but within acceptable…

    Pros
    • A wide range of focal lengths, a really working stub (at shutter speeds up to half a second, if the photographer’s hands are not shaking with a hangover, the stir is almost invisible), it beautifully lathers the background
    Cons
    • Plastic mount, focusing with a trunk (to put it in the stowed position, you have to manually turn the focus ring), a small soap, a large minimum focusing distance (however, this is more of a design feature than a drawback).

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

In general, I am satisfied with the lens. For all the time of using it, I took a lot of great photos with it. The lens is more suitable for shooting outdoors / outdoors during daylight hours. Bokeh with it turns out great. For non-professionals, that's it. Autofocus rarely misses. In general, as the lens is a great thing, as the main one - it’s rather weak, you can’t take a close picture. I recommend.

    Pros
    • Good photo quality, adequate stabilizer
    Cons
    • A little long.

    A valuable purchase, some advantages!

It works out its money with interest, the stub really helps with hands at FR 100-150, it turns out to shoot at shutter speeds of 1/10., I would like a constant aperture, but this is a different price, AF is quiet, but not silent. sharpness at the edges almost does not fall, if it decreases noticeably evenly, which is natural for non-fixes. The picture is not expressive, a bit boring, but this is already nit-picking. Recommended for an entry level DSLR.

    Pros
    • Price, stabilizer, weight
    Cons
    • not USM, not L

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

Very pleased with this lens. The model is really good. In total, I had three such glasses and I didn’t notice any quality festivities - all three are equally well assembled and take pictures as they should. The price for it before the crisis was completely ridiculous - for a new one, about 6 thousand, for a used one, quite a penny (the first one was taken for 4, the second for 2, the third just a few days ago for 3). Now you can still find it at pre-crisis prices on the used market. There is no

    Pros
    • 1) Sharpness. For a cheap zoom, it's just great. 2) Colors. Extremely pleasant for my taste. 3) Autofocus speed. Very fast for a cheap lens. 4) Stab. It works great, freezes the picture reliably, you can always shoot at 1/50. 5) Dimensions and weight. Unlike large TV sets, it fits into any small handbag. 6) Price. Especially second hand.
    Cons
    • Well, we can say about the plastic-fiction, but still the case is durable - I wore it in an ordinary bag wrapped around a camera, fought against other things in the bag - no scratches, no chips. Assembled well. Perhaps a couple more minuses not of the lens, but of the Canon company: 1) No lens hood included. But it is sometimes needed, without it, the contrast in the sun drops noticeably. 2) uncomfortable lid. It is very inconvenient to shoot with a hood on, and even more so to put on.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

The overall impression is only positive, the best choice for a beginner. He is a workhorse! For 2 years, not a hint of failure. Despite the presence of expensive optics, this lens does not leave my kit for its lightness, image quality, and stub. I take it where it is a pity to take an expensive lens, but it plows and plows ! For those who need a lens for shooting outdoors, I recommend it when traveling. For the price-quality ratio I put 5 +++

    Pros
    • 1. Good focal lengths 2. Quite sharp, excellent sharpness at 250mm 3. Value for money, it's definitely worth it 4. Lightweight (having Lku, I often use this lens, it’s easier on my hands) 5. Decent picture quality, good colors, sharpness 6. For shooting outdoors 7. Stub really works 8. The build quality is good, there is no play anywhere, the rings spin easily, they have not loosened in 2 years
    Cons
    • 1. A bit dark for indoors, you definitely need a flash 2. There are autofocus misses, but who doesn’t have them ? 3. In the dark, it can focus for a long time and smear after that 4. Too long at full untwisting

    Nice price, good quality.

I took it based on my budget (which was practically absent), I really needed a telephoto. It fully justifies its price, I shoot on 350D, the picture is not so bad for such a price. Sharpness, of course, is not much different from the whale 18-55. The stabilizer is quite sane, it made it possible to get a more or less sane result when shooting at night with lighting from street lamps. The motor is a bit noisy, yes, but it doesn't bother me personally. A slight slowness in autofocus can be…

    Pros
    • A good telephoto lens for its price range. adequate stabilizer.
    Cons
    • Autofocus barely works in low light.

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

I bought a lens in August 2022 for 7 thousand for shooting an air show. Thanks to the new lens, I clearly “shooted” close-up planes in Uktus. Canon showed itself well done! Sometimes I wear it as a spare for events. The other day I filmed figure skaters from the podium, and they got great shots. It is difficult for a fragile girl to wear it: together with the camera and the main lens 18-55, it pulls about one and a half kilograms. Add to this more water and other little things. For an amateur

    Pros
    • Excellent sharpness. Clear autofocus. Catches distant objects. Ease of use. Price.
    Cons
    • heavy for me

The product is completely satisfied, performs its functions.

I took this glass for 6500, whoever thinks to take it or not, I can say that it is definitely worth the money. The stabilizer works if your hands do not shake (before using this lens, you need to get a good night's sleep, drink milk for a week and go jogging so that your hands do not shake). The color, compared to 18-55 or sigmas in the same price range, is not bad. Autofocus errors sometimes happen. Sharpness, again, is relatively good (let's just say it is here, unlike whale 18-55, for…

    Pros
    • Good, for such a price, sharpness. Not bad color reproduction.
    Cons
    • Dark, loves a lot of light.
