I took it based on my budget (which was practically absent), I really needed a telephoto. It fully justifies its price, I shoot on 350D, the picture is not so bad for such a price. Sharpness, of course, is not much different from the whale 18-55. The stabilizer is quite sane, it made it possible to get a more or less sane result when shooting at night with lighting from street lamps. The motor is a bit noisy, yes, but it doesn't bother me personally. A slight slowness in autofocus can be justified by its limits. In general, if you need a telephoto lens for a small amount and you are not bothered by a plastic mount and other charms of cheap lenses - take it! It will be a good addition to the whale 18-55, but you should not count on more.
