Review on Xerox Phaser 6510/DNI Color Printer - Ready for Amazon Dash Replenishment and Improved SEO by Kyle Mason

Nice prints when not falling apart.

I bought this printer in June 2018 because I had a Workcenter Phaser 6605DN. When the printer arrived, the Wi-Fi network card was defective. Xerox was great and sent a new one. When I received the printer, I was of course thrilled. I connected and started the Wi-Fi kit. It turned out that the WLAN card could not be detected. I plugged it in via a USB connection and everything was fine until I tried to print something. The paper kept stopping at about 3/4 inch, causing a paper jam. I contacted Xerox support and 2 days later they sent someone to fix the problem. Later they sent a new Wi-Fi card. Satisfied. Everything went great! They offered me a service contract for $119/year. I said $249 for the printer, right. Now that I've owned the printer for a year, I don't regret not buying the warranty. Printing slowly deteriorated as each "new" driver compounded other problems such as: B. recognizing the correct tray, paper type and paper size. I would have been better off using generic Windows 10 drivers as they allowed for less restrictive restrictions. in functionality than the Xerox drivers. The printer melted over time. I noticed that the print deteriorated, small inclusions of black plastic were found on the fuser. What I didn't know was that the plastic around the fuser was melting. So non-glossy paper does not absorb the toner properly. Plain paper is still mostly good. I'm totally disappointed with Xerox, not because of the print quality, which was really great, but because of the printer itself. What a huge pain with rear setup, matching drivers to printer settings etc. I will most likely never go back.
