Purchased to replace plastic baby rings as part of our effort to eliminate more plastic, especially anything that goes into the mouth. Not the best substitute as part of the purpose of rings like this is to connect and form a chain, which is terrible/not at all. The hole is so big that anything connected to a ring just falls off. They are also heavier than the traditional plastic varieties, making them even more likely to fall off. After all, they just cost a lot more than plastic rings, so it really is a waste of money. Since they don't work as links, we'll just use them as separate toys. We tied a silk scarf to one to make a new kid's toy. I appreciate the attempt to make a non-toxic children's toy, but the functionality isn't there.
