This FOB is very close in construction and material to an OEM part and is much cheaper! Yes, the instructions are a bit tricky, but that's not the keychain maker's fault! I'm thinking about it! If you bought an FOB from Subaru, the technician you pay to program will do the same ridiculous steps in your car that you have to do yourself here! Subaru is the company that created this FOB pairing method! I could program it easily. Just read the instructions TWICE, going through each of the subsets of instructions separately to get some muscle memory to follow them (turning the key in the ignition, locking and unlocking the car, etc.); then they all do it together. Making them is a bit ridiculous, but the instructions really work!
