Won't work on my 2010 Subaru Forester

Went to the website and printed out detailed instructions. Didn't work the first time I tried to program it so I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem. Then, after watching YouTube videos and reading all the reviews, my adult son and I tried again, to no avail. Guess maybe that's nonsense. Send back. I can try again, but I don't know if I can handle the disappointment again!

Pros
  • Large range

  • Thin

READ IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS

READ PLEASE! YouTube, video title "Subaru (Impreza, Forester, WRX, STI) Remote Keyless Fob Programming is INCREDIBLY helpful and after watching this video you will be able to program this key in minutes. Absolutely fantastic product (feels more premium than OEM) and easy to program. 100% recommended.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Disappointed it didn't work for me (2010 Subaru Forester, Premium)

The remote looked and felt the same as the one that works. Unfortunately I can't get it to program. Tried putting in a new battery - to no avail. In one attempt, the original key fob lost its programming. I reprogrammed the original with no problems, which confirmed that the programming was correct. I tried again to program a new key fob but to no avail. I'm not sure I just got a lemon. return for refund.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Can't remember but something was

Save money! in Anti-Theft

I checked out one of these at my local hardware store that sells this type of remote control. It was $130 so still better than the dealer but quite an amount for what it is and I was sick of my husband taking my keys. I definitely recommend this to everyone. There is a great review with instructions from a guy named Caleb who helped me a lot. The only thing he missed (or I didn't see) is that you have to enter the remote access code TWICE. So if this is your first time typing it, just start atโ€ฆ

Doesn't work (Forster in new body, with EJ25 engine)

Doesn't work as many have said. I checked three times that this is the correct remote control for my 2010 Forester (according to the supplier). I know I'm doing this right as others have said because I've been doing this so many times my other remote has crashed. I was able to easily program my original on the first try. Oh, and I was Subaru Master Tech when these cars were new! I consulted their website in case I missed something. No help. I can't reach the supplier through Amazon so I will be

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Sad gear

This FOB is very close in construction and material to an OEM part and is much cheaper! Yes, the instructions are a bit tricky, but that's not the keychain maker's fault! I'm thinking about it! If you bought an FOB from Subaru, the technician you pay to program will do the same ridiculous steps in your car that you have to do yourself here! Subaru is the company that created this FOB pairing method! I could program it easily. Just read the instructions TWICE, going through each of the subsetsโ€ฆ

None worked well for keyless entry systems

UPDATE: Received a second FOB in the mail yesterday. Your Revain ad doesn't mention this, but I assume this FOB should be for a Subaru with a Mexican VIN, not a Japanese one (like mine). However, my FCC ID (NHVWB1U711) matched what was described in the Revain product description. that's why i tried it. They appear to be well built and look OEM, but they won't program with my Forester. Another thing you need to know (not say), Forester (2010) can remember 4 FOB codes. So if you try to addโ€ฆ
