Review on Secondary Air Pump Replacement For 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma Runner 2 by Jarrett Love

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Fits my 2010 V6 Tundra *UPDATE* NOT WORTH

My first review is under this update. After installation I drove about 120 miles 3 times and the check engine light came on again and I couldn't go past 40mph. I sent the units back thinking it was the faulty kit but after removing and installing the second kit the same problem arose. I even bought an original toyota check valve for $380 and replaced it with this second set of pumps and still no good. I just bought the 2nd generation bypass kit for over $400. I hope this works and saves me the $2000-$3000 that the dealer wants. I'm very reluctant to buy a cheap part even though $700 for these parts at the dealer was absurd. Anything over $100 will work for now. If I get more than 25,000 miles, I'm happy. I could buy 6-7 sets of these for that price if I could get decent mileage from them. If you're good enough with a wrench, this is a fairly easy replacement. I will update this review if they fall out sooner than expected. I just installed them today and only drove 2-3 miles to make sure I had enough power to go past 35-40mpg and it ran perfectly. The time will show.
