I got two of these and loved them so I ordered two more with different colored handles. It opens well, but doesn't close. It took some effort to open when it arrived and the 'lock' cannot be used. It's like the mechanism isn't long enough to jam. It seems to be in the middle of the handle. So maybe shorter. The other two locks close, but with difficulty. A lock closes securely, but is easy and simple to open again. Three of the four I have are very tight when you open them. Very difficult. Unfortunately, while my hair is short enough that I can use the comb's flat teeth myself, their hard work makes them impractical and nothing more than a novelty. So the idea is great. You seem strong. And they're almost serviceable, but inconsistency in design means you're just as likely (or even more likely) to get one that doesn't work properly than one that does.
