I'm not sure if I happened to get a bad lemon, but I did get one of the black color options for my new 2018 15" MacBook Pro Retina and was disappointed to find that the microclips/fasteners in the middle of the front and rear edges of the top cover don't have a firm grip. Or rather none at all. It looks like the lid is completely loose. I'm trying to fix the top cover to open by putting my thumb on the spot, the cover is easy to lift and remove which surprised me because my friend has the same one for the same MPB model but in stealth clear has a tight clasp around the Perimeter and front and back clips perfectly match the edges of the top cover, you'd think both color versions are cast from the same mold nd, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Or does this random manufacturing defect only affect the one I have? On the sides however, and as shown in the pictures here, the microclips work perfectly and the lid fits snugly and securely from edge to edge. And I have to say I love everything else, the quality, the texture of the finish, the silicone pads, the shape of the cutouts for full access to the ports, how thin it is etc. Although for the price I would expect it to be out of all Viewing angles are flawless and guaranteed to be 100% error free.
