Review on 🔧 Upgrade Your Hyundai Sonata with the SCOSCHE HY1625B Double DIN Stereo Pocket Dash Kit by Brian Samaiyar

I thought it looked good initially but installation was a problem. I'm trying to install this in a 2012 Sonata. The radio mounts are just plain bad and the mounting points don't line up with the actual mounting point in the car, also the radio mounting points (on the Pioneer AppRadio 4) appear to have been torn off. I've tried using the OEM mounts but they don't allow me to fully engage the dash and I currently have 1/4 inch clearance. I want it to work as I think it looks really good so I contacted Revain for a replacement and will see if it was just a poorly made unit. I'll keep my fingers crossed and if it was just a defective unit then I'll change my rating if necessary. If that doesn't work I'll have to try the Metra kit despite the bad reviews. However, I chose not to tighten the screw as much as possible to leave a little slack. I inserted the dash kit and this time without any gaps. After looking at the two dashboards I feel like the hole for the original was cut off and also the radio trim was preventing me from installing it properly. I still can't get the dashboard. fully engage, but I'm really the only one most likely to notice. I'm happy with how it looks now and it serves its purpose. Happy now but sticking with 3 stars due to the first unit and the fact that the new one isn't quite snapping in yet.
