products are durable, made of plastic. However, the slots that the thread must be inserted into to hold the thread in place are too wide and the thread falls right out of the slot. In addition, both sides are slightly rough, so DMC color number stickers do not stick well. Some edges of the spool also have rough spots that will catch and damage the line. I am sending them back and will purchase DMC floss spools locally.
