I thought it would be good for coding. With this I can see the whole file, but not all of it. In the early days of using a monitor, you would realize how horizontally aligned your coding workflow and tools are. Your IDE will be clunky "as is" and will require a lot of tweaking. 9 times out of 10 I felt more comfortable reconnecting to the Ultrawide. Another problem is the height. There is no good way to position it. You either crane your neck or sit higher than usual to see the top of the screen. But then the bottom of the screen is too far away and you have to visibly look down and lean towards the table to see the bottom of the screen. The opposite happens when you optimize the view for the bottom of the screen. The top of the screen stretches too far and you have to look up, bend down, and crane your neck a little. Of course we're talking millimeters, but that's not necessary with curved ultra-wide screens. The ultra-wide screen allows me to scan without any noticeable effort, and my head doesn't move as much as when using this screen. It seems that this screen was made for Windows. Where are your hotspots (menus and docks). On a Mac, your menu bar is at the top. The dock is on the bottom, so there's no good way to use this display with a Mac. 90% of you should optimize your browsing experience at the top of the screen because that's where your app's menu bar is located. Magnet (screen layout manager) helps a little. I tried dual output with two output of Mac and pasted the top and bottom of the screen layout. This is probably intended for use on a Mac. Seems like a word but not optimal, every time I cross horizontal I launch the (auto hidden) dock. Several weeks have passed. I can say I've "got used to" it, but it's not a productivity booster like I thought it would be. I still prefer my ultra-wide and am more productive with it. Doubling is not used as often as we would like. What a marvel of technology. it is very high quality. The monitor arm, DPI and light weight are incredible. As an encoder monitor, it is not optimal.
