I'm a photographer and have been using this back pack for more than three years, some of which has been under fairly rigorous conditions. It continues to stand up well. I purchased it to protect my rather heavy 17 inch macbook pro. While lots of back packs offer good side protection padding, surprisingly almost none of them offer padding on the bottom, which is where it is really needed to protect the downward facing edge of a laptop. The Brenthaven back pack is the exception which is why I purchased it.I have also been impressed that none of its six zippers have failed after all the thousands of times they have been used. I can't say that for some of the zippers on non-Brenthaven bags encasing some of my other equipment.
