This is at least the fourth case I've bought from this manufacturer and style. I've used it on previous generation Kindle tablets as well as cell phones and it's been a really fantastic product in the past. A good combination of affordable and durable. However, this time it was almost impossible to use. While the main thing I love about this case is still here - it's cheap and worth the money, there is something about the plastic on this product that differs from others I've used. This is very hard. Pushing buttons requires incredible effort. I say this as someone over 6ft tall who plays a variety of instruments and rarely has trouble opening cans. But using the power and volume buttons is very, very difficult for me in this case. This incident makes using my Kindle more and more frustrating and takes away a lot of joy. Its size also makes it difficult to hold, and the angle of the stand on the back makes it almost impossible to use for video conferencing. Too few things this case gets right. I've had this product for over 4 months now and use it several times a week in the hope that maybe the plastic will soften with regular use, but that hasn't been the case. It's hard to use and too frustrating to keep using and not worth returning. I replaced it with the Pirate series shockproof tablet case, and the soft silicone of this case is much easier to use and has no resistance. The cost was a bit higher but it was worth it as I can use my Fire without any issues.
