I am very impressed with all the features this saddlebag has. If you take a photo with the flash on, you'll see the reflective material illuminating the entire back and a thin strip on either side. I love that all the zippers have a thin strip that covers part of the zipper when it's closed. The shoulder strap is not removable, but instead of cutting it off like some suggest, you can fold it neatly and slip it into a hidden sleeve pocket on the bottom of the saddlebag. Can't confirm durability as I just installed it but in terms of upright strength without breaking. I plan to use a large piece of bubble wrap so it doesn't "balloon" when the saddlebag is empty.
