I was surprised at how thick and durable it is. I have the black one and it looks amazing in my tank. The splinter holes are slightly larger than my Oceans Wonders plugs, which is perfect. This is the kind of attitude you need when trading frags. Very small assembly that took a few minutes. It doesn't snap, doesn't need glue (it bolts on with nylon screws), and it's very strong. I use it as a frag stand but wouldn't hesitate to put a skimmer on it because it's so durable. It only adjusts by a few inches, so keep that in mind when looking for the exact skimmer height.
