This compact noise generator offers a wide range of sound options for a variety of situations. The main reason I booked it was my husband who is both a manager and a shift worker. Planting is done at night too often. This is a real challenge for my family, the farm and for him. As a result of his ten years of shift work, many different noise machines have accumulated. He has a portable/travel device that he's crazy about. I also have my favorite laptop (just last month). This Magicteam Noise Machine can be transported, but it is not rechargeable, so you need to bring a plug. It's a compact and lightweight device, making it fully portable if you don't want more than a noise device and don't mind packing a power cord. In terms of functionality, it works great and is easy to use. The sound options are incredible. My husband uses a variant of the fan (I think it's the 3rd fan noise, or maybe the 1st? sorry they're so similar) when he's trying to get to sleep during the day. Aside from various fan options, there are many other white noise options. Other sounds, sea waves, creeks, frogs etc are awesome too. We were born and raised on the coast (we moved to Appalachian Mountains to farm and just enjoy the country life). I mention this because one of the coastal settings sounds like home. That must be a shot of the bay (there's also the sound of the sea). I went to the bay every day after work. It really made me nostalgic for "home". Then there are frog noises. It's so similar to my life now. I have a huge 1/4 acre pond. It connects to life. These real sounds of nature are so beautiful and soothing for a variety of uses, in the office, at home, at school, etc. Overall, I am very happy that I made my purchase.
