This is my first home video surveillance system. I researched many systems before I bought it. The features I insisted on were good video resolution, night vision, significant storage space, and wireless communication between the cameras and the NVR (Network Video Recorder). A good friend of mine showed me his wireless system, but the cameras ran on batteries that he had to change often. I knew I didn't need a battery powered system; A physical connection to house wiring is required for power. It comes with interchangeable transformers for each camera and one for the NVR. There is also a 10 foot cable antenna for a camera if installed in an area that cannot penetrate too many walls. This antenna allows you to place it in a place with fewer obstacles. That works great! I bought the system with a 12 inch monitor which I think fits best. This eliminates the need to connect a laptop or TV to view camera images. (My system comes with 4 cameras.) The monitor is a standalone unit with a 3TB hard drive and system control electronics. It offers 30 days of HD video storage from all 4 cameras. It comes with a two-button mouse that works with the monitor and system like a desktop or laptop system. I bought 2 Vanxsectv 10m (30ft) 2.1 x 5.5mm CC 12 volt extension cords for security cameras. This allowed me to power 2 of my cameras that weren't near power sources. Also, I took advantage of Hiseeu's 8% discount offer by simply emailing Johnny@hiseeu.com and claiming it. They responded within a few hours with a discount code which I successfully used. I am amazed at the night vision capabilities of this system. The specs say it has a 65-foot limit, but it doesn't. I pointed a camera straight at our driveway, about 120 feet long, and it "sees" that far in total darkness. The detail is amazing! I bought a 3 year extended warranty (just in case). I highly recommend this system. Update 5 June 2020 If I could rate this system more than 5 stars I would. I am always impressed by the quality of this system. My wife, who is not tech savvy, likes to use the system to keep an eye on our outdoor cats. We observed several nocturnal creatures roaming our property and we would have had no idea of their presence without this system. The company contacted me via email to ask how the system works. If you're not sure which home security system to buy, I think you can't go wrong with this one! Update 15th December 2020 One of the frustrating aspects of this system that I just found out about is that it can only record 4 channels at a time. Time. I added a 5th camera to the system and was able to view it normally. I couldn't figure out how to record a new camera so I contacted the company. They responded within hours and said they were only recording 4 channels. You can select 4 channels but if you have more than 4 they will not be recorded. I agree, but the information in the system description is misleading. I am very sorry if my endorsement of this system has misled others.
