Review on SUV Remo Hobby Smax RM1631, 1:16, 28.5 cm, blue/black by Janis Bike ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

The remote has settings to make it easier to control. I made my battery with 2pcs. LG at 3000Mah (native 1500Mah), put it on the machine additionally. I collided at full speed with a 10 liter bucket full of water and the front bumper broke in one place (see photo). Therefore, I would also advise you to buy a metal front bumper, it will bend and thereby take over the energy of the collision and lubricate all moving parts with oil. I would buy more oil-filled shock absorbers, I think it will be better controlled. I would not advise buying a brushless version, because due to the size it will be unmanageable. It is quite difficult to break if you steer normally, withstands hard collisions and coups. Satisfied as a child, playing with her) But I realized that I need to buy the same, but more - 1:10. . With a new collision with the wheel against the wall, the lever did not break or crack, only the metal bracket bent (bent it to its original position), this indicates that the quality of the plastic is good, better than metal. 1. After 11 rolled batteries, the servo burned out, apparently water got there. It's good that the receiver is completely filled with epoxy, water will not get there.

Pros
  • The price is small, there are a lot of spare parts, since the model is very popular, at half power (twisted it on the remote control) it took 50 minutes, at full throttle for 25 minutes. Differentials, gear on the motor, wheel drives and cups are metal. After 5 rides, the batteries in the remote were almost dead.
Cons
  • The cardan and the central gear on it are plastic, the shock absorbers are oil-free, but these are rather features for this price. Because of the size is very nimble and unmanageable at high speed. There are holes on the engine that sand gets into, you either need to buy a cover or, as I did, move the radiator a little on the motor so that these holes close a little, the engine doesn’t get very hot anyway. The headlights cannot be turned off, only the switching modes are flashing or constantly lit. Unless you pull out the power cable for the headlights. The servo is disposable.
