I heard about this thing from a YouTube video. From the pictures here it looked pretty cheap. Considering the price I wasn't expecting much. But it's high quality steel. The ones I saw in the video are curved but they are very stiff and rigid. They are very intuitive to use. Do yourself a favor and watch how to lift burrs on YouTube. To be honest I wasn't expecting much. But the 24" x 20" oak panel I glued together came out so amazing in just a few strokes. I would say a few swipes of this sandpaper is equivalent to sanding on 150 grit sandpaper. Then I just finished with 220 for a satin smooth finish. For $17, it pays for itself after a few projects. Sandpaper can get very expensive! You use a lot less with it! Of course you still need sandpaper for hard-to-reach places and the like, but why not save time and money and not use it? I would even say it's faster than a mechanical grinder. Quick tip: If your surface is already semi-smooth with this, or becomes too smooth. Sand it with 60 grit sandpaper. This will allow the scraper to grip the surface again.
