Bosch has redesigned the FREAK and I really like the previous IDH182. What I miss the most is the pistol grip, it must have changed to include the connect ready feature. The thing is, it has nothing to do with it, it's something extra that you have to buy. I personally see that as a disadvantage, why not include it in the kit? Also, it's not what I really need for general functionality, at least that's what I lack. The GDX feels bulkier, while being more compact it served its purpose. While I like the 3 LEDs on the IDH182, the single light is noticeably brighter on this model. Placing an LED at the base illuminates surfaces well. These shocks can withstand all day 15/16 bolting during event setup. For small household chores, I can use fine tuning for complex woodwork. The ratcheting feature means you don't over tighten the screws or remove real quality screws. In fact, both versions, this model and the previous model are really great, I would buy both again at any time, because the blue Bosch has never let me down.
