I bought this toothbrush for my 4 year old son as it was recommended to me by another mother to ensure we preserved all parts of my son's teeth. Unfortunately, when I received this toothbrush, I was immediately concerned that it might not be suitable for my son, so I decided to try it myself first. The bristles are thick, coarse and too hard. They don't look like toothbrush bristles at all. I felt like my gums were cracking and the force required to brush my teeth seemed excessive. The top of the toothbrush is also removed from the handle, which can become detached in a child's mouth if he bites off the top of the toothbrush. It held up pretty well at first, but after taking it off a few times I saw that the plastic mounts were starting to warp a bit. Overall I would not recommend this product.
