Poor customer service

Beyond is upset with this order from both Step2 and Revain. I have this car in blue at home and we loved it so we ordered red to keep with my grandparents in Florida for trips as my daughter hates being in strollers. Every time my son goes for a bike ride or wants to sit in the stroller, we take the blue car for my daughter because it makes her happy during those trips. When we came to Florida for my parents vacation we started assembling the red car and found that we were missing 4 key parts that we needed to use the car. Following Revain's instructions, we contacted Step2 through their customer support line and they informed us that they would send replacement parts. I told them we were only there for a week and asked if they could stay overnight as we had already missed the opportunity to use it for a few days. They agreed to spend the night. Well the next day I received a shipping confirmation email from them with tracking and it was NOT rescheduled overnight and was estimated to take 5-7 days. Furious I went back to Amazon to initiate a return using the "Missing or defective items" link where they have the choice of either refunding the money or sending you the same item to replace the defective one. I went with the option of returning this one and sending a replacement provided they honor either overnight or at least 2 day core shipping (I'm a main contributor btw). When I started this process the confirmation said it would arrive in about a week. THE? Why was the first order shipped after 2 days but the replacement would take several days? Even if parts are missing or broken, Revain's priority should be to provide prompt replacements and ship promptly. Of course we couldn't use that for the whole holiday as planned. It was such a bummer. We even once tried to put our daughter in a stroller while we were taking our son for a bike ride and it was literally 5 minutes before she started fidgeting and crying. that again we knew what was going to happen and again we ordered this for her to enjoy (she happily sits in it for an hour strolling!). Anyway, considering that both Step2 and Amazon have not been validated and this is an Amazon exclusive offer, I feel like both companies let me down on this one. Oh and my parents sent me a photo of the parts that arrived as we got on the plane to go home lol. big!
