My husband and I have just retired and loved putting this together. together! Really high quality parts! The instructions are very easy to follow. Each step is shown in the diagrams. Although I was a bit disappointed in one thing. The clock part is powered by a battery, not by swinging a pendulum. When you start it, the pendulum will swing and the gears will move until it stops after about an hour. It's nice to hear it click and see the gears move. My grandchildren love it when I raise them! There was one problem we encountered after all this was assembled and wound up: the pendulum would stop every minute or so. Obviously our coat is not perfectly flat. I had to place a small piece of paper, folded in half, under one of the front legs. This seemed to fix the problem.
