We've always re-purposed grocery store bags for small trash cans, but as we switched to reusable canvas bags, our supply was pretty low. And at the time of this review, we are in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. We no longer save plastic grocery bags at all for fear of cross contamination.I'll have to do a little more research to see just how "biodegradable" they are, but so far, they work. My bathroom trash can is rectangular, about 12 inches long, by 6.5 inches wide, by about 14 inches deep/tall, and these fit just fine, with a little room to spare. Definitely room to spare in depth. The measurements in the photos here seem to be accurate.
