Very good for connecting multiple solar panels. This is much better than 2-pin and 3-pin connectors, especially if your panels are high powered. People should be aware that each MC4 connector (pair) is rated for 30 amps. Multiple high power panels are connected to the same MC4 connector and may exceed its power rating. With such a junction box, each panel gets its own fuse connection, which is connected to a common heavy-duty circuit breaker. It's much safer. It also makes it very easy to "disconnect" the entire solar system from the power supply to the solar controller by turning the switch off.
