Difficult to use Good for stamping and embossing

I thought it would be fun to make personalized tags at our family gathering this year. I bought this die set, a steel workbench, a die hammer and 100 tokens. I figured the labels would give us more space and be easier to stamp than a washer. My results were so bad that I couldn't possibly try it with many people in the meeting. The first photo is my first day of training. It was very difficult to keep the stamp still while hitting it with a hammer. I found that there is a slight movement when I click it more than once and I end up with a blurry partial letter. I've tried several times and all to no avail. The second photo is my second training mark. This time I stuck the label on the bank block. I also came up with the idea of cutting out a piece of styrofoam to hold the stamp (I cut it to the same size as the label and punched a hole in it with a pencil). I tried a regular hammer, not the one I buy for this purpose. The results were better but still terrible. I decided there was no way we could string together the letters of the name, the place we met, or the most inspiring words. This time I tried Iowa 19. As you can see, I tried some letters a few times to see if the results improved. The stamps themselves are sturdy and come in a nice box. But if they don't work for their intended purpose, they're of little value. I spent a total of $68 on this product and related products and have no idea what to use it for.
