Assembling and setting up the camera was fairly easy. You cannot run Ethernet POE over an end-to-end connection like an IP phone. When the motion motors are activated, the camera switches power to the IP phone and turns off the camera when the phone is in idle mode. Overall, the camera quality and zoom are excellent. The software is a bit overloaded and has a high learning curve. IE Requires regular patrols, face recognition, power cable detection, etc. Setting it all up is cumbersome at best. Hopefully this will improve with software updates. You can use a microSD card to avoid using their cloud service. The app and tethering the camera to the app was also a bit of a downer, unless you have a static IP. Good camera for the price.
