This small cape protects the floor well from hair. I cut my almost 4 year old son's hair regularly and it's a little difficult to get all of his hair before he can get in and follow it around the house. Now I use it and cleaning is a breeze. I use cordless clippers and some hair inevitably falls to the floor, but not in the way I used to have to quickly pick up clumps with a vacuum. It saved me a lot of time on my haircut. It is quite well made and the velcro strap has enough room for different size necks. It has a plastic bias binding, which doesn't seem like the most comfortable option, but it works. If you've ever used a collapsible frame like some baby forts, ball pits, car sun visors, or anything that requires you to rotate the frame to fold it for storage, then you won't mind folding it for storage. It does NOT come with a cloth pouch but I keep it in the plastic bag it came in and it works because it's small enough to keep in a small drawer.
