I bought the color espresso. We have a house that was built in 1950 so we have plaster walls and our shelves are not spaced apart as these shelves had pre-drilled holes. So we didn't use ANY of the hardware it came with. We just used long cranes and drilled through the plaster into the concrete block behind. Pre-drilled holes in the shelf make installation easier. You will definitely need at least 2 people to assemble it, I would prefer 3 so I can step aside and get a picture while the other 2 hold the shelves to determine the location. The cats love it but were very hesitant at first so I gave them the treat so they had to go upstairs to get it. These cat walkers are great. I am so happy with them that I have kept buying more and adding them to the wall! Everyone who comes praises it and thinks it's art until the cats jump and run on it! I wish they were cheaper in price but they are definitely worth the money and you can't find anything more durable with great finishes. it is there. The longer one is 5 feet long and very heavy! Excellent purchase. If you are thinking of buying, DO IT!
