Review on ACDelco Professional 45D1103 Front Upper Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly - Enhanced Performance in Sleek Black Design by Michael Bressler

Looking closely at the upper arms I found that they were almost identical to the OEM upper arms. They were installed in a 2004 Chevy Silverado z71 5.3L Double Cab. Over the years the rubber bushings on the OEM levers have compressed when they broke and the bolts have been tightened to take up play. So when installing the new one, I used a crescent wrench to slightly bend the rear flange of the truck mount. This gave me the extra 1/4" that I needed to install the new ones. The control arms I received have a black ball joint cap to protect them during shipping. The actual color of the ball joint boot is BLUE and appears to be a rubbery material.I have used other brands in the past (the name starts with an M) and have found that the pro brand ac delco fits and works much better as they are more ideal for OEMs.and after the ac delco lever has been installed. There appears to be a drainage hole in the anthers to prevent the anthers from tearing when filled with grease. Overall I'm very happy with the details!
