I have a very large pirate hat with a giant ostrich feather that I wear to Renaissance fairs and this is the first hat box I have owned. Big enough for that actually, so I'm really excited about it. It fits in the case and is protected from dust and a little from shocks. There are two things I don't really like about it. First, the pages are opaque and frankly boring. It just doesn't look good on the shelf in my closet. It would be better if it was either transparent or with a beautiful pattern. Another thing is that he is not very protective. I prefer cardboard hat boxes, like the traditional ones, because they really help protect the hat from accidental bump damage. If I put this in my car to take to the Renaissance Fair, something might fall on the container along the way and crush the hat. The only thing this case really protects against is dust. but given the trouble I've had finding a cover for my large pirate hat, it's better than nothing. I just want it to get better.
