Feels feels like thin plastic. The headstock grip portion is wedged in, but the reach feels limited for the headstock's thickness and not deep enough to feel solid. The top also rotates 360 with a ratchet, but despite the clicks it engages, the notch still moves. The Samsung s9 isn't a heavy phone, but it still doesn't feel sturdy when the phone is installed. The phone stays on but doesn't feel secure enough. Generally too shaky feeling. I suspect this design is only good for hanging from a hook; like a car rearview mirror. For guitar, I prefer the Big Metal Clip version, which is also available on Amazon with a single or double fix moving head.
