I have been using Panasonic Eneloop batteries for many years and have bought most of their chargers, which have gone through several generations. All chargers worked fine, but later versions made small improvements in design and charging speed. Your model BQ-CC55 (White) is the model with the highest performance and the fastest charging. I recently had a rotating AC plug rupture after trying to plug it into a new "TR" (tamper resistant) outlet. I ordered this model as a replacement. I was disappointed to see that Panasonic didn't continue the high-performance design of the BQ-CC55, but it still charges faster than the first generation. So it's against. On the other hand, this charger has a built-in USB charging port, which can be used to charge another device via USB while charging the batteries placed in the charger. So if you like the USB charging function, then this charger is a good choice. Otherwise, if you want the fastest charging speeds (and nifty tri-color status LEDs), buy the BQ-CC55.
