I used this liquid candle dye with soy wax. I love the range of colors it comes in and it's easy to use, but it does leave some blemishes where the color isn't fully absorbed, like little freckles on my candles. The pink rose is particularly good and less blotchy in my opinion. Blue seemed to notice something more. I love that the wicks and cups come with this paint set. I used them for a test fill to check the colors. I think this is a good painting set if you are comfortable with liquid coloring, but I prefer melting colored wax. I'm glad I tried them anyway.
