Review on H4 Headlight Relay Harness Kit for Toyota Pickup & Tacoma - Solve Dual Ground Problem by Dre Bhatt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

87 Jeep Cherokee XJ - works great.

Installed on a 1987 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Works perfectly. Due to the limited space, the installation took about an hour. I had an issue with headlights flickering/not working - searching the web showed me this was a classic full amp headlight switch. I replaced the switch but also read and with one of these kits wanted to run the amps to the relay so it wouldn't melt again that after replacing the switch it was clear that this wasn't the first time this problem had occurred. on this vehicle. The switch cable connector has already been replaced by the previous owner, probably due to melting. As mentioned by some other reviews, my only complaint is that this harness can be about a foot longer in all directions. It fitted the passenger headlight/battery very tightly, but after 30 minutes of swearing it still went in. Lamp connectors are ceramic. 80 amps! Relay. 40 amp fuse. The wiring is the same or even bigger than stock and I still plan on switching to LED lights once those old ones burn out. But yeah, because it's so cheap I'm surprised it works as well as it does. I've checked all the connections and wiggle all the wires to make sure they fit tightly into the small connectors. I'm sure some people get one that was loosened at the factory, but mine was perfectly fine. 10/10 Recommended. It only worked one day so I'll update how it's holding up in a few months.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Boring packaging
