Goes perfectly with my glass teapot and is very pretty. Actually works better than I expected. I figured it would just keep the water warm. After simply pouring boiling water into my kettle, he carried it into the living room, lit a candle and placed the kettle on top. It took a few seconds for my kettle to start making noise. Looks like the water has boiled again. Almost too hot. So now I have to wait for the water to cool down a bit before I put the kettle on. Then there was carbon deposits from the candle under the teapot but this was easily wiped off.
