UPDATE 26-Jan-21: While I'm sorry I can't honestly improve my rating for this product (although I hope an update will fix my issues), I have to add how great the Soundcore/Anker support is . Soundcore contacted me after I posted my review and kept in touch to ask if firmware updates had solved my problems and figured out what my problems were. your products. My experience with Anker/Soundcore support has always been top notch, but it exceeded what I expected from a company whose product I haven't written very well about. All in all, if you're looking for a company that stands behind their products, look no further than Anker/Soundcore/Eufy/Roav/Nebula. ORIGINAL: I was glad to get these by ordering them the day they were released. Unfortunately, they can't handle the hype. Throughout the announcement of these headphones it was constantly said that the ANC was set up to keep the music as the artist intended, but in reality this hasn't happened. Any media played with ANC engaged is crunchy and manipulative, making it unbearable to listen to. High frequency spikes, hiss and pops make the driver sound like it's being ripped apart. Medium basses sound muffled and distant. Overall, the soundstage appears narrow, almost as if you're listening in mono rather than stereo. All of this makes you feel like you're listening with dollar store headphones. Turning on ANC with no media playing continues my frustration. With the TV on in the background at normal listening volume, ANC manages to "reduce the volume"; However, it was still clearly audible and I didn't try to figure out what it was all about. This is a pretty big disappointment in itself, so ANC feels more like a gimmick on these than a key feature. Thankfully, when you turn off ANC, the sound is as good as you'd expect from Soundcore. crisp and bassy, with a wider soundstage than headphones can offer at this price point. But it does not matter. While this issue could be fixed with some firmware updates, I'm not in favor of buying a product because of a broken feature and hope it gets fixed in the future. Now for something other than ANC. The headphones themselves are very comfortable, more comfortable than my Liberty 2 Pro (I attribute this to the lack of a wingtip). They come with every size ear tip imaginable which is now marked next to each set so you know the size and are sure to find the right fit resulting in a snug and stable fit in your ear. Unfortunately, unlike the Liberty 2 Pro, the earbuds don't come on a card that can be separated from the box. So if you store the earbuds, you need to keep the whole box or cut them out of the box. The battery compartment is nice, but the sliding door mechanism is a bit wobbly. When the door is closed and moving from side to side with the joystick, there is a noticeable gap, making it not as high quality or durable as the Liberty 2 Pro door. The finish is nice, with a soft feel, the edges are a bit slippery but forgivable. The earbuds are easy to remove and hold in place with a strong magnet. In general, the main promise is not fulfilled, so they are returned by me. Let's hope Soundcore can solve the problems that come with an otherwise good product.
