The curved vent design and awkward surfaces prevented me from using sticks on the bindings. I've tried clip-on versions but they were too flimsy and wouldn't stay in place. This design allows me to snap the vent fin at the back and tighten it just the way I need it. Small laterally protruding ribs prevent the bracket from bending when the phone's weight pushes down. The magnets are strong if you use a metal back on your case. Maybe a little too strong. I have to pry the phone away from the magnet with enough force as the head is constantly moving, which means it has to be realigned each time. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.
