Acrylic can be scratched on edges
I was torn when I received it. The magnets are finally strong enough to stick to my 3/4" thick curved acrylic tank and the artwork is beautiful (although you can't see it when the handle is attached). I also like that the magnet is in the Tank floats when secured. If you have a glass tank I highly recommend it. However, with an acrylic tank, the black plastic edges have started to scratch the inside of my tank so I have to return it. Luckily I got it , it used to be big scratches but everything about acrylic is bad hope they eventually change the design so the edges don't protrude the pad surface to prevent this.
