An alternative to xenon lamps?

I was looking for a xenon bulb for my wall lamp. Xenon lamps are apparently no longer on the market. Even though the sticker on the light said "xenon bulbs only", I decided to give this product a try. I don't know the difference between xenon and halogen. This product works perfectly. It is as bright as the original xenon lamp. I don't see any significant difference in color temperature either. It seems to me that this is a good alternative to "xenon" bulbs.
